President David Granger has delivered on his promise to declare November 1 of every year as Defence Force Day.The formal declaration comes days after Granger shared his intention to make the day an annual one.In a notice carried in Kaieteur News on Saturday November 7, President Granger shared that November 1 is designated as Defence Force Day.The notice read,Yeezy Scarpe Italia, “Under the Constitution, the State’s Defence and Security Policy shall be to defend national independence, preserve the country’s sovereignty and integrity and guarantee the normal functioning of institutions and the security of citizens against armed aggression.”The Guyana Defence Force will be honoured each November 1 following President David Granger’s declaration of GDF DayGranger further noted that the Army’s role is a “most pivotal one” among the nation’s Disciplined Forces.
